Whether you prefer the beach or the "burbs," California roommates shouldn't be too hard to find. Keep in mind, however, that California is home to more than just beach and suburbs.
If you have your heart set on beach living, take a look at a map of California to get an idea of possible locations. Whether you're talking about Venice Beach, Malibu Beach or Laguna Beach, California beachcombers can find ample housing and roommate possibilties in the area. Many beaches have boardwalks and local shops that will allow you to post ads for roommates, or you can post online with a roommate finder service for more specialized help.
If you want to live in sunny California but don't want sand following you home every night from the beach, look to live in more inland cities like San Jose, Sacremento, or even areas of Los Angeles.
